Viewing Decisions and Revision History
Learn more about what's happening with your dissertation or thesis.
Viewing decisions
Open your dissertation or thesis, then choose View decisions from the sidebar. If the administrator from your graduate school has reviewed your submission and registered a decision, it will display here.
Your graduate school administrator will review your submission to make sure it is complete and meets your institution's requirements for formatting, etc. If all is in order, they will "accept" your submission and send you an email. If revisions are needed, your school administrator will send you an email requesting changes to be made.
Viewing revision history
You can view a list of any revisions that have been made to your dissertation or thesis after initially submitting it. For instance, if you upload a new PDF, it will be recorded in your revision history.
To access your revision history, open your dissertation or thesis, then choose View revision history from the sidebar.
The View revision history page has two sections:
- PDF Revision History lists all versions of the PDF file that have been uploaded, including these details:
- name of the PDF file with a link to the file
- date the file was uploaded
- person who replaced the PDF
- reason for the replacement
- A selection button to pick which PDF to use for the submission.
- Other Revisions lists any other revisions made (for instance, changing your abstract). It also notes when they were made, who made them, and why they were made.
